Priyanka Chopra embarrasses India at the royal wedding

Priyanka Chopra has been making headlines for her international outings since she left for Hollywood. Season after season, her Quantico series is upping her international stardom. But she clinched it, only when she made it to the guestlist of the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. She is indeed the face of India to the world now!

Recently, she was trolled when she made a trip to the Rohingya Muslim's refugee camp as the UNICEF ambassador. A lot of Indians demanded why didn't it ever occured to her to ask after Kashmiri Pandits who are living in te refugee camps since three decades in their own country and rightly so. However, it is another discussion for another day.

But right now she cannot fob off the trolls over her bad show at the royal event. Agreed, she was dressed up as per the dress code and therefore, showed up like a British aristocrat. But the lilac Vivienne Westwood natty let her down and not just her, even us Indians. We, the country of a great fashion sense, home to some of the reputed designing institutes and bred some of the internationally-renowned designers, feel embarressed at her choice. Instead, any Indian saree - be it Benarsi silk or Kanjeevaram, would have saved the day.

The only saving grace in her overall wannabe-like-royalty ensemble was her earrings. Studded with diamonds, its sparkle has been bedazzling jewellery lovers back home. The contemporary design, the sleek size and of course, the sparkle, simply stole the show.

Anyway! This one average outing cannot undo her other stunning appearances that made us go aww in the past. On that note, let's hope to see her bounce back and slay us with her good looks, soon.
