Why Hindus should leave Sonam Kapoor alone?

Because she is not worth it.

Sonam Kapoor was recently spotted wearing a Mangalsutra bracelet. This did not go down well with the Hindus on social media. Now that is how media wants to portray it. There is more to it than what meets the eye. First let’s make it clear. She is definitely not the first one to wear a bracelet version of Mangalsutra. Prior to her, Shilpa Shetty and Esha Deol too have flaunted a Mangalsutra bracelet on different occasions. In fact, post that, the popularity of Mangalsutra bracelets peaked. This also paved the way for Mangaslutra rings. So there is no question of her Mangalsutra bracelet coming in the eye of storm. 

So what’s the truth? Why are the Hindus upset with the actress? Here’s the complete truth. She provoked the ire of Indians, rather Hindus, when her home production film Khoobsurat roped in a Pakistani actor. This was followed by several anti-India act which were overlooked, considering she hardly holds sway over the masses. But when she came in the support of a rape victim, denigrating a temple, mind you, denigrating a temple, Hindus could not take it lying down. With a equal measure, her post on social media was trolled.

Such incidents had already given away where her loyalty lies and therefore, it is now just a matter of chance when Hindus will go all about panning her and the trailer of her upcoming movie Veere Di Wedding showing her mouthing a line – “Jab tak bc Mangalsutra gale me nahi padta life incomplete rehte hai,” was just one of the opportunities they were awaiting.   

Still I feel Hindus must restrain. Sparing your thoughts on such an insignificant celeb is undermining the great culture you come from. The actres has nothing to lose. For her, it is a matter of bread and butter. Even though she is a Hindu at heart, the industry dominated by Khans does not let her be. She will have to play to the gallery for good roles. But you, the descendants of the rich culture of India, it is below your dignity to entertain such limelight hoggers. Don't contaminate your mind by wracking your brain over anti-Hindu elements. Just leave Sonam Kapoor alone and move on.
