Retro style revival with Sonam Kapoor

Bollywood fashion in the 80s were of impeccable style and glam, from bright colours to monochromes, polka dotted dresses to sequins, bell sleeves to shirt style blouse, animal prints to floral prints, the retro look was all of fearless and loud mix of hues. Though in the course of time, the bold shades and the artsy prints faded away to plain and chic outfits, but the vintage fashion has made a fresh revival this season with some modern tweaks and twists to the designs. Bollywood Fashionista Sonam Kapoor took to the retro style and showed up her glam side in her Instagram posts. And we are sure you would agree that Sonam is setting some major style goals for her onlookers.

 

The actress slayed the retro look with a bold and candid photo shoot depicting her love for the vintage look. The bell sleeves style which was much of an 80s' trend was brilliantly pulled up by Sonam as she donned a white bell sleeves ruffled shirt inspired of the retro style trend with a black denim jeans. She added a modern twist to her style with a round drop earrings and glares.

She added some more retro elements to her look by pulling her hairs back and leaving her curls fall free with a polka dotted bandana – the polka dotted bandana or head gear being a  fashion statement of actresses like Hema Malini during that Bollywood era. What we could not stop crushing was the playful and candid charm that Sonam added to the frame with her white ruffled shirt and black denims holding the Victorian era books on her hand.
