Anushka Sharma learns from Priyanka Chopra’s mistake

Yes we know, you are wondering what mistake are we talking about. To answer that, let us jog your memory. A few months back Priyanka Chopra too had called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Berlin. Post that, the Quantico star was trolled brutally by netizens back home for her sartorial choice. The trollers did not approve of her western outfit that showed off her legs while she was seated in front of the PM. As soon as the pictures surfaced on the internet, the hate-comments started pouring in and this went on for days.

To avert a situation like this, the newly-wed couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took the traditional Indian route. Just yesterday when they met the PM to invite him to their Delhi reception scheduled on December 21, 2017, Virat was clad in a festive kurta while Anarkali adorned his wife. Meeting the PM was an occasion in itself. At least, that’s what their attires spelt out. Must say, Anushka made a splash in her post-wedding look that was rounded up with a stylish pair of jhumkas, bindi and yes, the choodas. 

Fresh from the Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh victories, PM Modi was not only delighted to see the duo but also showered them with good wishes. Later, the PMO's Twitter handle also posted a picture from the meeting and captioned it as: "Captain of the Indian cricket team @imVkohli and noted actor @AnushkaSharma met PM @narendramodi this evening. The Prime Minister congratulated them on their wedding."
